go see seasick steve LIVE.
my god maytees, it was the second best gig i've ever been too. about a qaurter of the way through the gig i had to look around at everyone and just take in that this simple ex hobo from the usa had now garnered a huge following for his music. half way through, he confirmed just how amazed he was too.
it made me wanna pick up a guitar and attempt to learn again, hearing the things he did with such simple instruments is astounding, and he peformed as good as on the record. with him, was his son, paul martin perhaps who wasnt too shabby himself. he played more of an acoustic style as opposed to blues, and although in each song he used a very similar slow down sorta thing, he wasnt bad.
but amy levere. i have never wanted to marry a womans voice before, and if it wasnt for her being amazingly gorgeous i'd hold onto that faint hope. she dueted on two songs with steve and played a couple of her own, and i was mightily impressed. impressed enough i bought her album after the show, along with teh latest seasick album.
fair dues, i've had a steller week, and i've even started to show promise on MW2. HAR!!!!
poker. sunday night. fucking BONUS!!!!!
