was extremely good fun. bevan came to pick me up, and i met his lovely lady sally, so on the way to cardiff had a good catch up and got to know her a little. in cardiff, we met everyone else at the wellington, lyons, his fiance kyra, ben and his girlfriend jessica, and also kyras sister(ithink anyway!) and her blokey james. we decided not to bother with drink in a pub and just to go get food, deffo a good start! trying to find somewhere to eat however was not so fun! had a walk around half of cardiff, and everywhere seemed full with a queue, so ended up going to out first stop, jamies italian, owned by jamie oliver!
we managed to get a table for four, and, as lyons had just proclaimed he felt like a gangster sat at the back of the places some ice cube followed by nwa came on. class!!!
food wise, i had....
starter; wild boar salami and italian bread. what a stunning flavour, so rich of taste, very impressed!
main; italian chargrilled chicken with ceaser salad and parsley chips. this was awesome. the chicken was cooked perfectly, and the salad was lush! after a winter of eating stodgy food, i notcied the salad and had to have it!
dessert; lemon cheesecake with a dollop of vanilla ice cream. this, was the best cheesecake i've ever had the pleasure of putting in my mouth. its made me want to learn how to make cheesecake to get something as good as this!!!
had an awesome laugh with everyone though, so good catching up and made me realise i dont see enough of them at all. that needs to change!!! i did feel a little left out as there were 4 couples and me, but fair play everyone mingled and it was really cool to see old friends and make some new ones=]
