the vivid and the strange.

last night, after struggling to get to sleep for some time, i had one of the most vivid dreams ever.

the start was a little hazy, i remember seeing my grandmother (whos been passed away for a few years now) in some sort of slightly alien building, and speaking with her about having to go hurriedly. she said not to worry but to go, so i remember grabbing my bag and leaving. it felt like a war had occured recently, as there were buildings that were ruined, and what looked a little like the ion cannon fron starwars towering above on building. coming out of one area of buildings the area looked quited dusty, even sandy, and there was a sign that said "be wary of the salamander". wondering what this was, i approached a modern looking 4x4, where a man and woman were sat inside. the woman looked a little nervous, and i remember them both being of asian origin. the man pulled the window down and asked what i was doing out, and i dont remember what we said after but i got into the back, and i think we talked for a little while.

they then preceded to tell me that their teenage son was becoming ill, and had developed some strange visual faults... hair, eyes looked a little animalistic, and kinda reminded me a little of a werewolf. from what it seemed, we were pon another planet colonising it, and people who were hitting puberty were going through problems due to something with the planet. also, i remember the man showing me this one plant, which was almost like an organic curtain, but very large, and that some of them were dying, doubtless due to some bacteria we'd brought that it wasnt used too. after looking at the plant, which i think made a noise, i remember looking into the distance and seeing an amazing vista. it was a very black sky, but was an amazing deep red centrally around a planet that looked a little like jupiter. it really was incredible.

weird bit time, back in the 4x4 we went down a long road and came to a tescos, which was really modern looking. the car park was sorta like in I, robot, where you put your car in one area and then it disappears. i dont remember going inside, but i remember being back where the 4x4 originally was, and my parents being there, who were unsure what to make of the area. i remember telling my mother about my nan, and she was very surprised. i think we then went to see her. i also remember taking the odd photo through the dream.

really weird though! after waking up i found it so hard to get back to sleep just from thinking about it so much... crazy!
